We are not building a charging app

Investors keep introducing us as a 'charging app.' Polite, fast, wrong. Every time we hear it, we know the next 30 minutes are going to be a translation exercise.

Apps are software. The thing that makes SparqX work is not software. It is a physical station every 200 meters in a city, owned by partners, operated by us, with a battery in a slot that someone can take and walk away with. The app is the lobby. The network is the building.

This distinction matters because it changes everything we do. We don't hire growth marketers, we hire field ops. We don't optimize for app-store rank, we optimize for slot density. We don't celebrate downloads, we celebrate rentals per slot per day. The KPI is hardware utilization, not screen time.

It also changes what we promise. An app can iterate every week. Infrastructure can't. Once we put a station in a venue, it has to work for five years. Every spec — IP rating, cable redundancy, OTA firmware, battery cycle count — exists because hardware is permanent in a way software is not.
